Overall Requirements:
Our Engineering Department is looking for a high-energy engineering intern with a solid understanding of electronics. If you have a talent for thinking out of the box, and creativity when it comes to solving problems that seem to have no solution, we are looking for you.
Responsibilities:
- Work with mentor to
- Troubleshooting of basic to complex electronics, engaging in advanced problem-solving with limited to no documentation available.
- Develop new, improve existing and evaluate diagnostic and repair methods and test procedures suitable for a wide range of legacy and new electronic products
- Reverse-engineer medium to complex electronic boards, modules and systems with the goal of developing improved test capability
- Use of lab test equipment while performing advanced electronic measurements
- Configuration of complex telecom systems
- Automate tests and diagnostic processes
- Research and Identify solutions for component obsolescence
- Help facilitate production capabilities and processes
Education & Experience:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Masters degree in relevant engineering discipline, preferably with past intern/coop experience in a similar area
Additional Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of electronic circuit design
- Ability to understand and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams
- Strong technical documentation skills
- Ability to use a variety of lab equipment
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work with tight deadlines
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
