Gas Turbine Technician

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Gas Turbine Technician to join our team. As a Gas Turbine Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing gas systems and equipment. Your expertise in gas systems and your ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues will be essential in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our gas infrastructure.

You will be required to operate and maintain the mechanical and electrical components of Gas Turbine Engines and Centrifugal Gas Compressor Systems.

Duties:

-Operating and Controlling Equipment

-Locating and Repairing Circuit Falures

-Measuring Current, Voltage and Resistance

-Testing and Servicing Circuitry, Batteries and Switches

-Performing Prevenitive Maintance on Digital Data Equipment and Control and Monitoring Circuts

-Repairing Electrical and Electronic Cables, Wiring and Connectors

-Maintaining Alarm, Indicator and Warning Systems

-Maintaining, Testing and Repairing Gas Turbine Engines, Compressors and Auxilliary Equipment

-Working with blueprints, schematics and charts

-Performing work area inspections operate standard test equipmenet, stop engines and check for proper performance, and replace and adjust operating tolerance of contacts, micro switches, pressure switches, and temperature switches.

- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to troubleshoot complex issues

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections

- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience as a Gas Turbine Technician or similar role preferred

- Strong knowledge of Gas Turbine Systems, including distributed control systems (DCS) and logic controllers

- Proficient in reading schematics and blueprints

- Familiarity with hydraulics and mechanical systems

- Experience using AutoCAD for design purposes is a plus

- Ability to fabricate parts or components as needed

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
