You will architect, design, and maintain firmware for integrated circuits that supply power to the largest and most powerful advanced computing platforms. Your contributions will span low level circuits to large system design, and you will see those systems all the way through to high volume manufacturing.Job Duties:Design, develop, and verify firmware for digital PWM voltage regulators.Write firmware patch to implement new features or apply hardware workaround.Work with marketing and applications team to define firmware requirements.Write specification to document firmware architecture and implementation.Create verification plan to improve quality of firmware releases.Collaborate with validation team to bring up boards and debug issues found.Develop automated tests to validate firmware on lab bench using test equipment.Collaborate with cross functional teams across geography.Qualifications10 years of experience in firmware development on custom SOCs5 years of experience developing firmware for DC-DC power converters.Expert at embedded FW development in C and assembly programming languageDeep understanding of state machine driven task management and its applicationsSkillful at memory and performance optimization for real-time applicationsProficient at Linux command line and a scripting language such as Python/PerlStrong analytical skills and debug methodology with excellent attention to detailGood written and verbal communications skillsEducation:BS/MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related fieldAdditional InformationRenesas Electronics Corporation empowers a safer, smarter and more sustainable future where technology helps make our lives easier.
