WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING - THE ROLE

- Benefits Administration:
- Support the day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs such as health, dental, vision, life insurance, Health Savings Accounts, Flexible Spending Accounts, 401(k).
- Process benefit changes, updates, and terminations promptly and accurately.
- Maintain the benefits database and coordinate with payroll for deduction updates.
- Develop and document administrative procedures for benefits processes.
- Assist with open enrollment system set-up and testing.
- Support the implementation of new benefit processes and/or carriers.
- Provide ongoing support to HR and benefit team.
Compliance:
- Stay informed about changes in benefits laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
- Support the preparation and timely submission of required reporting, such as 5500 filings, Non-Discrimination testing, - CMS reporting, ACA, and other regulatory documents.
- Communication and Employee Support:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits.
- Assist in creating and distributing materials for benefits orientations and open enrollment.
- Ability to clearly communicate benefit information to employees through various channels and during open enrollment periods.
- Conduct periodic training sessions to educate employees on available benefits.
- Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with insurance providers and TPAs to resolve issues, answer inquiries, and ensure smooth administration.
- Serve as a main liaison for plan vendors and third-party administrators (including managing the partnership with the TPA handling all 401(k) requests).

WHAT YOU BRING - THE PERSON

- Knowledge/Skills
- Proven experience in benefits administration
- Thorough understanding of benefits plans and relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, HRIS and benefit databases.
- Strong team player with effective planning and prioritization skills.
- Knowledge of federal and state benefits laws, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, and Medicare.
- Experience/Education
- Bachelor's degree in human resources management or related field, or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum three years of related benefits or employee benefits administration.
- Other Requirements:
- Ability to work both in-office and remotely, with some required in-office days.
- Comfortable with prolonged periods of computer work.
