Definition
As a supervisor of the Engagement and Coordination Teams, this individual will provide oversight and guidance of the drug and alcohol case management and peer recovery support services to individuals referred to Renewal’s Engagement Center. This individual will supervise the DA Case Management staff as well as provide direction/guidance to the Certified Recovery Specialists providing mobile peer engagement and coordination services in the community, emergency departments and hospitals. The D/A Case Manager Supervisors will supervise the referral and warm hand offs/transfers to substance use detox and /or medication assisted treatment services to prevent unassisted withdrawal leading to relapse. The individual in this role will work closely with the DA Case Managers and Certified Recovery Specialists in the utilization of peer support and case management strategies to motivate individuals to enter into treatment and cope with withdrawal symptoms. This person must enforce compliance with program guidelines and assist the Director of Engagement Services. This position requires an ability to maintain strict confidentiality and maintain a high degree of ethics
Eligibility Requirements
Knowledge of the criminal justice system, Substance Use Disorders and mental health is required. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, manage resources and supervise, work effectively and efficiently with all levels of management; self-starting, motivated, and adapt to changing technology; Proven skills at problem solving, planning, conducting research; must be computer literate. Knowledge of Third Party Payers.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work or related field and a minimum two years’ supervisory experience required. Masters’ Degree preferred. CADC preferred.
