Maintenance Supervisor

Position Summary: The Maintenance Supervisor position is responsible for safely performing and directing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of plant equipment. He/she will be responsible for working under the direction of the Plant Manager to maintain and optimize facility uptime.

Required Skills and Responsibilities:

· Perform maintenance skills in a manufacturing environment (indoors and outdoors), including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems and processes.

· Responsible for troubleshooting and repair of rotating equipment (pumps, motors, drives, etc).

· Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.

· Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

· Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

· Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.

· Direct maintenance staff for daily tasks and outline work schedules.

· Ability to write/update O&M Manuals and maintain updated preventative maintenance records for the CMMS system (Asset Optics).

· Detect faulty operations and equipment malfunctions and report those and any unusual situations to the Plant Manager.

· Maintain clean and orderly work areas around equipment that needs regular servicing.

· On occasion, perform production related tasks or other activities as directed by the Plant Manager.

· Work primarily on a rotating shift between days and afternoons.

Years of Experience:

· 10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance with rotating equipment experience.

Educational Requirements:

· Two-year degree in mechanical maintenance desired but may be substituted with experience.

Physical Requirements:

· Various working conditions including office work, work at a computer, outside work in all weather conditions, to inside plant work in both heat and cold.

· Work in tight spaces, overhead, low to the ground, and on uneven surfaces.

· Capable of lifting 50 pounds safely, climbing ladders and scaffolding, standing for long periods.

· Respond quickly to alerts, alarms, and changes in plant conditions or status.

· Ability to work safely with a range of chemicals and materials utilizing appropriate PPE.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
