What would you do as a Imaging Aide?
The Imaging Aide is responsible for assisting patients through the radiology process in a manner that places emphasis on quality patient care. You can expect to regularly:
- Greet and escort patients within the imaging department;
- Enter and/or verify patients’ demographics and history of exams ordered into databases and electronic medical records;
- Ensure patients are ready for imaging exams including proper attire;
- Schedule appointments for imaging exams;
- Communicate with patients and family regarding wait times and frequently check on the comfort of patients;
- Use electronic medical records and imaging systems, paying close attention to exam details;
- Coordinate and process daily tasks with the PACS film storage system in a timely manner, including troubleshooting PACS issues and uploading and burning CD’s;
- Clean and sanitize imaging machines and waiting room chairs;
- Stock imaging rooms daily;
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality to minimize impacts to clinic staffing schedules;
- Provide customer service, maintain confidentiality, and abide by HIPAA requirements.
- Certifications/Education
- High School Diploma/GED;
- Knowledge of
- Customer Service principles and practices;
- Experience;
- Using computer systems and applications, including entering data and typing;
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs

- Experience in a related position within a hospital or clinic setting
- This position operates in a clinical office environment.
- Physical: The noise level is usually moderate.
- Schedule: Saturday hours may be required depending on managerial discretion.
