RenoRun was born in 2016 with the insight that contractors spend too much time away from their job sites by going to the store to procure materials. Before building out the concept, the co-founders—three construction industry veterans—would sit in different hardware store parking lots around Montreal in the winter, with Tim Horton’s coffees, and notebooks in hand. They kept count of anyone coming out in work boots, plus vans and pickup trucks, and compared notes at the end of the day. This was their “customer.”

After noticing that there were roughly 2,000 contractors per hour circulating hardware stores in Montreal, they decided to set out on a crusade to serve them better, and to unleash them from the unpleasantries normalized in the construction industry.

Fast forward to today and we’re one of the hottest tech start-ups, opening in cities all over Canada and the US, on our mission to ‘empower contractors to build the world around us’. Construction professionals don’t just want, but deserve, to get time back.

We are excited to look for a Sr. Technical Recruiter to be a part of an excellent Talent Acquisition team. You will drive recruitment efforts for our Technology teams, including Engineering, Product and Design. You will be working hand in hand with the Lead Technical Recruiter to define and execute the recruitment strategy and own the full-cycle process for various prioritized technical roles.  

***Please note that this is a hybrid role based out of one of our locations in Montreal, QC, Toronto, ON or Ottawa, ON ***

What you’ll do:

  • Own full lifecycle of recruitment for multiple and diverse roles in the fast-growing Technology teams 
  • Proactive cold market outreach, knows their ideal candidate, audience and has developed an extensive prospects network
  • Acts as advisor to hiring managers, initiating, developing and driving relationships
  • Constantly evaluate recruitment process & strategies, benchmark to best practices and market trends;
  • Introduce creative approaches to find the best talent on the market, including engaging multiple recruitment sourcing channels

What you’ll bring:

  • A proven track record of hiring engineering, product and other technical roles for a growing technology company
  • 3 years of experience managing the full cycle of recruiting and hiring, with at least 1 year in technical recruiting in-house or in agency 
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (Greenhouse preferred) and Linkedin Recruiter and other sourcing platforms 
  • Excellent English language skills both in written and verbal communication
