Operations Manager
The Operations Manager will serve as the quarterback of projects, taking charge of all phases of the project planning process. As a liaison between all company departments, trade partners and the customer, the Operations Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth project execution from inception to completion. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various aspects of residential design and remodeling projects. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Oversee the project planning process, collaborating with the sales team and design team to ensure adherence to the established Project Planning and Design process phases.
- Contact trade partners to solicit bids, ensuring competitive pricing and timely availability.
- Reconcile project budget and scope, identifying potential cost-saving measures and ensuring company profitability targets are achieved.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication with customers throughout the design & project planning process.
- Create construction contracts and project schedules. Review with the Director of Operations as needed.
- Utilize Construction Management software (JobTread) for all project planning activities.
- Drive revenue by generating Closed Won construction contracts.
- Project Execution Oversight:
- Act as the liaison between the designer and Construction Manager, ensuring a seamless hand-off from Design & Project Planning to Construction.
- Work closely with the Construction Manager to develop and maintain the project schedule.
- Monitor and track project phases and major milestones to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Collaborate with the Construction Manager and VP of Construction to ensure appropriate internal field crew are assigned to the project.
- Coordinate with trade partners to ensure their adherence to the project scope and timeline.
- Conduct weekly review of project finances to ensure job costing is accurate and the project is achieving profitability goals.
- Order materials as necessary, particularly during the early stages of the project. Coordinate with the design team and Construction Manager throughout this process.
- Issue Triage and Problem Solving:
- Proactively identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with Construction Managers to identify and mitigate on-site issues and challenges, such as missed deadlines, missing materials, and quality concerns. Escalate to Director of Operations and/or VP of Construction as necessary.
- Collaborate with the Construction Manager to resolve unexpected conditions and find effective solutions to meet customer expectations and deliver change orders as necessary. Certain issues may require involvement of the Director of Operations and VP of Construction.
- Quality Control and Customer Satisfaction:
- Maintain high-quality standards for all aspects of project delivery.
- Ensure that the final result aligns with the customer's vision and exceeds their expectations.
- Address customer concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring overall satisfaction.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Regularly evaluate project processes and work with the Director of Operations and other company leadership to identify opportunities for improvement to processes and project delivery.
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations to streamline operations and optimize resource allocation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
