Overview
Renuity is seeking a collaborative and experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to join our data team. The BI Analyst serves as a partner to the business area supported (Finance) and will use analytic expertise including knowledge of data structures, programming, and statistics along with critical thinking and an understanding of their assigned subject area/business to help the organization make data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
- Collaborates with stakeholders in the design and development of analytics and reporting solutions to support business needs
- Plans, analyzes, develops, tests, and deploys work to production
- Provides time and effort estimates based on requirements gathering. Strong experience independently managing multiple projects is required
- Demonstrates working knowledge of relevant source systems needed to support primary stakeholders and proficiency with related databases/data marts
- Must stay abreast of current industry trends and should be adept with the BI software (Power BI) used at Renuity
- Lead the development of analysis approach and reporting needed based on business questions, requirements, and initial analysis findings
- Develops, validates, and executes complex queries to complete sophisticated data analysis resulting in reports that answers very challenging business questions. Interprets results and makes recommendations to business areas based on findings
- Cleary presents analysis and reports to internal customers and stakeholders
- Routinely uses statistical methods during analyses and considers how best to visualize data that accurately reflects the intended message including the limitations
- Reports and helps troubleshoot data quality issues when performing data profiling, testing, or validation
- Collaborative and eager to share knowledge with team members
- Responsible for participating in and advising strategic departmental initiatives
- Actively seeks out opportunities to grow skills and train business users as required
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to be precise and clear when describing results of data analyses
- Shares important and relevant information with the team. Proactively offers suggestions, provides resources, volunteers for assignments
- Follows all department's policies and procedures including request intake/fulfillment, change management, and data governance practices
Qualifications
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. Master’s is a plus
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in BI analysis and Microsoft Power BI development
- Strong proficiency in Power BI, including the ability to create complex reports, data models, and dashboards
- Experience working with business teams to analyze and define business problems, gather, and document requirements, and define user stories and success criteria
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills and ability to navigate stakeholders
- Strong skills in critical thinking and analysis
- Experience with Agile structures and Agile principles required
- General understanding and exposure to technology evaluation, data, and analytics
- Comfortable with multiple levels of data analysis - formulas, in-depth analysis, logic, cohorts, and calculations
- Experience interacting with business stakeholders and ability to lead sessions for designing and testing visuals and mock-ups
- Experience working collaboratively with virtual teams and offshore colleagues highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of data warehouse modelling and business intelligence concepts
- Advanced experience with data visualization and business intelligence software (Power BI strongly preferred)
