ABOUT THE ROLE

Processes chargebacks to merchants for customers to association banks for adjustment of accounts by performing the following duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sorts and enters chargeback items.

  • Types debit and credit forms listing amount, date, name of maker, name of bank, and reason for return, in order to adjust accounts and inform merchants of nonpayment.

  • Totals and balances items received and submits items to associations.

  • Visually examines items to determine compliance to regulations.

  • Scans items into systems for associations

  • Files copies of forms.

  • Contacts Client Relations team to move process along and fields calls from Client Relations.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED


  • Must have 1-2 years' experience in a customer support role dealing with confidential information

  • Must have a High school diploma or work experience.

  • Must possess good verbal skills to describe problems in processing and communicate with clients and co-workers.

  • Must possess ability to balance worksheets for processing.

  • Must cross check reports, stays current with regulations, ensures timing requirements are met, tracks the life cycle of items, and identifies potential fraud of bad trends

  • Attention to detail is crucial in this role

  • Experience using a CRM, Salesforce a plus
