Overview
The Automation Engineer will be part of a team responsible for designing, testing, deploying, and maintaining all aspects of Repligen’s internal automation strategy and infrastructure. She or he will be expected to contribute to Repligen’s digitization and digital transformation efforts. The successful candidate will actively work with all levels of personnel in Engineering, Manufacturing, Facilities, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Product Management departments. Up to 15% travel for solutions’ deployment, troubleshooting, and support. The job is based out of our Rancho Dominguez, CA facility.
Responsibilities
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems
- Develop IIoT-centric solutions for data acquisition
- Contribute to digitization of existing manufacturing and documentation processes
- Contribute to digital transformation of operations through leveraging of operational data
- Develop, maintain, and execute design documents, technical evaluations, test plans, and validation protocols for Automation assets
- Provide automation guidance to internal and external design teams
- Provide basic automation training to internal customers (MFG, QA, FAC, etc.)
- Specify, deploy, and commission instrumentation and control (I&C) devices

- 2 years of work experience preferred, but not required
