Reporting to Repligen’s Procurement & Sourcing, Sr Director, position requires a driven individual whose knowledge and skills will help us take our Procurement & Sourcing team to the next level.  This position is responsible for $100M direct material spend, and all activities relative to adequate sourcing of Repligen’s good and services.  Must have experience with commodity-based materials (i.e., plastics, metals). This position supports all New product introduction material, including Sourcing engagements and provides core expertise for Source to Contract, supplier Performance Management, Financial Management, Relationship Management, and Risk Management lifecycles.

Responsibilities

Position major responsibilities:

·       Direct accountability for Sourcing engagements while creating and driving collaboration with site procurement teams, and stakeholders, including finance, supply chain, manufacturing R&D, quality, warehousing, and product management, as well as external vendors to optimize value, savings and cost avoidance.

·       Accountable for the Sourcing lifecycle (Source to Contract) from stakeholder requirement definition, sourcing, competitive bidding, executing contracts and finalizing with adequate purchase order placement.

·       Champion a three-year pipeline of savings and value plans in alignment with business and or corporate strategies that delivers sustainable procurement value and or productivity.

·       Generates and leads cost management efforts with teams and critical suppliers, driving cost savings and other value-added activities across the entire supply base.

·       Strong alignment with R&D/Engineering Teams, allowing the adequate initiation of sourcing and procurement activities during New Product Introduction processes (NPI)

·       Negotiate agreements with strategic suppliers to promote guaranteed cost reductions through productivity improvements and reducing non-value elements in the supply chain.

·       Responsible for the development of sourcing processes to organize and analyze spend data.  Determine opportunities and priorities to leverage growth and volumes across all sites, product segments and implement contracts where appropriate.

·       Ensures Procurement & Sourcing processes are effective and deploys efficient Sourcing and procurement processes across the entire procurement talent base. Responsible for disseminating knowledge in the form of best practices, market intelligence and supplier management across the procurement organization.

·       Establishing and maintaining the metrics and mechanisms to monitor and measure performance and success

·       Manages direct reports including coaching and mentoring employees in the performance of daily duties, establishes performance standards, and provides support to ensure job results meet expectations,

·       Consistently works with teams on continuous improvement opportunities to reduce site transactional aspects of procurement and supplier management

·       Along with Site Procurement, builds and maintains multi-year support roadmaps for all key suppliers

·       Serve as a thought partner and actively challenge work to deploy the most comprehensive and creative solutions; remove barriers for team to ensure its ability to execute.

·       Leads and tracks procurement performance against KPIs.  Reports on KPI progress while also addressing opportunities for improvement and operational efficiencies.

·       Participates in the planning and forecasting process to establish standard costs and provide explanations for  Material inflation and price variances (PPV) at site level.

·       Lead Supplier Performance Management (SPM) with key suppliers and manage the quarterly scorecard to review service level on cost, technology, quality, service, and flexibility.

·       Works with Procurement and Sourcing at the site, assist in the development of a strategic sourcing and procurement training program which documents best practices in strategic sourcing, procurement, negotiations and contracting

·       As a member of the Procurement Leadership Team, serves as the lead in the development and implementation of strategy, priorities, and goals/objectives related to procurement’s required infrastructure.

·       B.s. degree or equivalent experience; degree in supply chain management/operations a plus.

·       10 years business experience

Qualifications
