Repsol has an opening for a Financial Accountant to support the CFO Corporate Accounting unit based onsite at our office in The Woodlands, Texas. This position supports the Sr Financial Accountant and Corporate Accounting Manager with a broad range of complex accounting duties. Responsibilities Responsible for month-end close tasks including posting of accruals and other journal entries, trending analysis, variance explanations and completing entity close processes. Recording and analysis of G&A and corporate related activity. Preparation of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations. Research and analyze general ledger account activity for reasonableness and compliance with IFRS and Repsol accounting policies. Support the Corporate Head Office with relevant data for financial reporting requirements. Perform account analysis and research with ad-hoc projects as required. Support internal control compliance. Preparation of various financial reports for management operating results review, cost center analysis and government reporting. Assist internal and external auditors with documentation requests. Liaise with other teams including Asset Teams, Corporate Areas and Planning & Performance Management. Requirements The legal authorization to work in the US for any US employer without the need for sponsorship Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting 2-7 years of financial accounting, reporting and/or audit experience (IFRS experience a plus) Coming from a global Oil & Gas company (E&P industry) and/or large public accounting firm (preferred) Comfortable with accounting schedule deadlines and working through peak operations to meet those deadlines Experience with SAP Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power Point Key Competencies Excellent oral and written communication skills Detail oriented coupled with the ability to learn quickly Understanding of financial reporting in a fast-paced global publicly traded company environment Strong analytical skills Spanish language a plus Repsol is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/Disability/Veteran #LI-CR1 Job posting end date: 25-12-2022
