Repsol has an opening in Horseheads, NY for an S&E Coordinator working within the Marcellus Business Unit. Key Responsibilities • Ensure that S&E policies, regulations and procedures applicable to operations are available in the workplace and are known and understood by personnel, collaborating in their implementation and verifying compliance on site. • Partner with Site Leadership and the S&E Team to drive accountability and to build and sustain the desired safety culture. • Assure the proper implementation of specific Safety and Environment policies, regulations and procedures applicable to field operations. • Assist and drive improvement in risk identification and evaluation sessions for field operations (work permits, management of change) with the aim of defining appropriate control and response measures. • Facilitate Safety and Environment compliance inspections and audits in order to identify deviations from applicable policies, regulations and procedures, as well as opportunities for improvement. Review and submit the corresponding reports. • Facilitate the investigation of incidents with the aim of identifying root causes, necessary corrective measures and lessons learned. • Assure required reports and documentation related to Safety and Environment are aligned with the expectations of the Safety and Environment management system. • Coach personnel on safety observation and hazard identification. • Trend Safety and Environment performance in their area of responsibility with the aim of communicating lessons learned, preventive actions and opportunities for improvement. • Assure and encourage the use of preventative observation and incident reporting tools (Synergi, REA, etc.) in order to improve the registration of incidents and unsafe acts/conditions. • Facilitate the implementation of the operational emergency response plan and its drills (tactical level) with the aim of minimizing the consequences of undesired events. • Complete responsibilities associated with contractor management (e.g., Field Verification and PIP processes). • Facilitate various training sessions and assurance of worker competency. • Provide field support for industrial hygiene sampling plan and reporting. Required Qualifications • Legally authorized to work in the US for any employer • 1 year proven work experience as a HSE Coordinator, HSE Specialist or similar role • Working knowledge of required HSE training, regulations and standards • Must be comfortable and proficient speaking in a classroom or meeting setting • Must be comfortable and proficient answering questions or negotiating conflict • Possess computer skills, proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint and related programs with desire to learn new software skills Key Competencies/Preferred Qualifications • OSHA 30-hour (General Industry and/or Construction) • CHST, OHST, ASP, CSP certification or similar • Associate or Bachelor degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field Repsol is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/Disability/Veteran #LI-ED1 Job posting end date: 31-12-2022
