What are the responsibilities and job description for the SEO Specialist position at REQ?
We’re seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time SEO Specialist role within our Washington, DC office. As an SEO Specialist, you will communicate with REQ’s SEO and Content Marketing teams to make sure all SEO and Earned Media tasks are completed correctly and within the scheduled time frame. You will also support the Content team with brainstorming and creating unique content for clients while following SEO copywriting best practices.
The SEO Specialist will also assist the SEO team on short-term SEO campaigns, along with general work overflow from within the Earned Media department.

Responsibilities:
- Complete SEO deliverables including keyword research, keyword mapping, content optimization, and blog/landing page creation
- Work closely with the SEO team to ensure successful client campaign performance
- Support SEO team with work overflow and ad hoc SEO related tasks
- Work with Content team on developing rich content in various forms including infographics, quizzes, on-page content, and blog posts
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and search engine updates
- Assist with production of monthly Earned Media Reporting
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 1 years of SEO-specific experience, agency experience a plus
- Demonstrated experience with key elements of SEO strategy including keyword research and on-page optimization; familiarity with technical SEO
- Ability to gather data from sources such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other third-party tools
- Ability to provide superior customer service and demonstrate expert knowledge of the client’s business
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Research and problem-solving skills
- Possess a great deal of initiative, energy, and assertiveness
- Present yourself with a high level of professionalism, adaptability, and flexibility to changing priorities
- Experience using Microsoft Office, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console/Bing Webmaster Tools
