Home Health Aide Responsibilities / Duties :
As a home health aide, the main responsibility entails providing essential assistance with daily living activities and personal care services in accordance with the patient’s established care plan.
These duties may encompass :
- Companionship : Offering emotional support and engaging patients in conversation to combat loneliness and isolation
- Daily Living Activities / Household Support
- Meal Preparation & Nutrition : Prepare & provide nutritious meals following dietary restrictions outlined in the care plan
- Personal Care Services
- Mobility Support : Assisting with ambulation and ensuring safety
- Patient Monitoring
- Medication Reminders
Qualifications and Skills :
- Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification
- Reliable / Dependable
- Previous experience in Home Care, nursing, or caregiving can be beneficial
- Strong Communication Skills, compassionate, and patient
- Ability to work independently while following care plans and instructions
- A commitment to preserving patient confidentiality & adhering to ethical standards

HHA Requirements for Hiring :
- Home Health Aide Certification
- 2 Forms of ID, Government ID, Work Authorization, etc.
- Physical Assessment within the last 12 months to include TB Screening (Quantiferon / PPD Testing
- Proof of Immunization of MMR
- Flu & COVID vaccines, if received
