What are the responsibilities and job description for the Craft - Blade Operator - Solar position at RES?

Summary:
An Operator operates several types of power construction equipment, such as compressors, pumps, hoists, derricks, cranes, shovels, tractors, dozers, scrapers, and motor graders to excavate, move and grade earth. Operator will turn valves to control air and water output of compressors and pumps. Adjusts hand-wheels and depresses pedals to drive machine and control attachments, such as blades, buckets, scrapers, and swing booms. Repairs and maintains equipment.
Requirements:
- Operate a blade/motor grader and several other pieces of heavy equipment.
- Operate the equipment in adherence to safety policies, procedures, job site, and/or traffic laws.
- Work safely on construction projects under the direction of an experienced Foreman or Superintendent.
- Demonstrate experience and skill with construction practices and techniques, particularly pertaining to electrical infrastructure work.
- Participate in daily tailgate safety meetings.
- Assist Foreman and Superintendents in identifying safety and process improvement ideas.
- Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
- Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.
- Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
- Perform daily walk-around checks and properly complete daily checklist.
- Clean and maintain equipment.
- Perform routine inspections on assigned equipment and report any needed repairs to the supervisor.
- Always maintain 3 points of contact on all pieces of equipment.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma/GED or equivalent experience (equivalent is 8 years) in a construction-related field.
- Must have 2 years or more motor grader, various construction heavy equipment
- Functional competencies include accountability, attention to detail, communication, teamwork, and agility.
- Be self-driven and demonstrate a sense of urgency to perform up to world class expectations.
- Arrive to work on time and be willing to work long hours as required.
Anticipated base salary range: $24.00 - $29.00
The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
