The Role:
The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for plant maintenance, electrical systems, apparatus, and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. This position reports to the Plant Maintenance Manager.
In this role, you will:
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on hydraulics, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
- Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Manage PM software
- Exhibit strong leadership skills and have sound knowledge of industrial electrical systems.
- Able to inspect and access the work done by the electrical staff.
- Reading and interpreting design schematics to ensure the proper installation of electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot major system failures and equipment malfunctions.
- Oversee the purchasing and maintenance of the electrical equipment on-site.
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
- Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
We require you to have:
- Minimum of high school diploma
- At least 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in a manufacturing environment
- Strong technical knowledge
- Understanding of basic safety regulations and procedures
- Organizational skills and be an analytical team builder
It’s helpful if you also have:
- Two-year technical degree in a related field, engineering degree preferred.
