Banquet Captain and Server Positions:

Reserve 22 is a full-service restaurant and scratch kitchen at the Village Links of Glen Ellyn, a 27-hole, major USGA and PGA Tour Qualifying host golf course. We have a generous sized patio, outside bar, inside bar, dining room, and banquet facility. Currently we are hiring Banquet Captains. We're looking for attention to detail, punctual, and quick thinking team members to help make our guests' special day go smoothly. You'll be responsible for the entire execution of the banquet event and management of the banquet staff. From setup to tear down, making the guests happy, ensuring they have everything they need, proper timing when food goes out, dealing with unplanned issues, and making sure the banquet servers and bartenders are executing their event responsibilities accordingly.

DESCRIPTION: Performing food and drink serving duties at events while interacting with guests in a positive, friendly and efficient manner. Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs. Complete closing duties so the room is ready to go for the next event.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Set up for events by putting out tablecloths and place settings, arranging table placement and setting up a buffet
• Carrying plates of food on trays and serving guests
• Keep glasses filled; remove each round of plates and replenish utensils
• Perform cleaning tasks and breakdown of service
• Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or two years relevant experience.
• Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and communicate effectively with customers,
• employees, and the general public.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• A banquet server MUST provide part of their own uniform which consists of a black tie, black pants, black socks and black shoes. Reserve 22 will provide a black button- down dress shirt and black polo shirt.

COMPENSATION:

Banquet Captian: Hourly plus portion of Service Charge and Tips; Average Compensation is $36 per hour ($14 per hour plus portion of service charge) plus tips. Additional compensation includes tips, which vary depending on host/event.

Banquet Server: Hourly plus portion of Service Charge and Tips; Average Compensation is $29 per hour ($7.80 per hour plus portion of service charge) plus tips. Additional compensation includes tips, which vary depending on host/event.
