Dental assistant

Job Summary :

Dr. Eric Resh is seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Your knowledge of dental procedures, infection control, and medical terminology will be essential in ensuring a smooth and efficient dental practice.

Duties :

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including pediatric dentistry
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
• Take and develop dental x-rays (Digital)
• Perform basic laboratory duties, such as pouring impressions and trimming models
• Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical record systems (e.g., softdent)
• Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
• Ordering materials and keeping materials stocked

Skills :

• Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and procedures
• Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and practices
• Familiarity with CAD / CAM systems for digital impressions (e.g., CEREC)
• Excellent understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry
• Experience with electronic medical record systems (e.g., Softdent)
• Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate patient records
• Knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions

Hours are from 7 : 30am-5 : 00pm (Monday-Thursday)
