Position Type: Non-Management, Hourly, Weekends/Holidays Required
The starting pay rate for this position is $20.00 per hour.
We are looking to add a hands-on Housekeeping Supervisor to our team. Being a successful Housekeeping Supervisor takes a blend of custodial knowledge and management capabilities. You must take personal accountability for the cleanliness of each guest room and set a good example for your team. Excellent communication skills are essential to being successful in this role as you will be working with multiple departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
This position requires flexible scheduling availability including weekends and holidays.
Job Requirements:
- Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing the sheets, changing and arranging the towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning, and rearranging the room after guests check out
- Deliver linens to the laundry department
- Inspect rooms and public spaces daily to ensure all rooms are cared for according to brand and IHM standards
- Train new housekeeping staff to ensure they know all components/features of our guest service guarantee and are trained to meet service standards
- Ongoing involvement in preventative maintenance programs
- Check stocking levels of all consumables and replaces on housekeeping cart when needed
- Notify supervisors of any damages, deficits, and/or disturbances
- Communicate with maintenance team regarding any maintenance requests reported by housekeeping team members
- Communicate with front desk team regarding rooms that are ready for new arrivals to check-in
Job Qualifications:
- Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to work well in stressful situations
- Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service
