What You Will Bring To This Role:
This position will report directly to the General Manager of the hotel. The responsibilities include managing the daily hotel operations to achieve planned goals for the operational integrity as measured by revenue, house profit, and RevPar index while maintaining company standards for guest satisfaction, quality assurance, and asset protection. This position will have oversight of the housekeeping and front office departments of the hotel.
Some of Your Responsibilities Would Be:
- Interviews, hires, trains, and provides leadership to all associates. Conducts performance appraisals and provides feedback to the Associates. Ensures all hotel staff, including new hires, know all components/features of our brand service standards and are trained to meet service standards; develops added value customer service programs. Empowers hotel staff to deliver guest service by encouraging and rewarding responsive guest assistance.
- Analyzes financial and operation information on an ongoing basis to adjust business plans, labor requirements and operating costs. Meets or exceeds budgeted profit and margin for hotel. Ensures hotel staff is trained in financial control procedures for cash, vouchers, inventories, and receivables, and that these procedures are regularly followed. Produces accurate and timely financial reports.
- Maintains guest service as the driving philosophy of the hotel.
- Personally demonstrates a commitment to guest service by responding to guest needs.
- Assist team leaders in meeting and exceeding brand service and quality goals.
- Ensures hotel standards contribute to the delivery of consistent guest service. Ensures compliance with all brand standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned to meet business objectives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous hotel management experience required in Housekeeping and/or Front Office.
- Ability to read and interpret budgets and financial statements.
- Must be knowledgeable in Word, Outlook, and Excel. Previous experience with hotel PMS and Time & Attendance systems.
- Preference given to candidates with branded hotel experience (i.e. IHG, Marriott, Hilton)
- Candidates must be willing to work a varied schedule that includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical requirements of the position include standing and/or walking for extended periods of time; bending, stooping, and reaching; pushing and pulling up to 100 lbs; and lifting up to 75 lbs.
