Education : High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Work Experience : Minimum two (2) of bar or restaurant experience, including drink preparation
License or Certification : TIPS Trained and Certified.
Must be minimum 21 years of age to serve alcohol
Be physically comfortable with standing, walking, lifting and squatting for extended periods of time - This is a physically demanding postition
Be familiar with point-of-sale computers and software
Be able to multitask serving multiple guests, including groups, mixing drinks and taking food orders
Can communicate effectively with fellow hotel associates and guests
Have adequate, in-depth knowledge of craft cocktails and alcohol
Be available for long day shifts
Job ResponsibilitiesWelcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards and thank guests with genuine appreciation and care
Fulfill guest drink, food, and snack orders accurately and promptly, while assessing their needs and providing knowledgeable recommendations
Set the bar to ensure a successful shift - gathering supplies as needed, prepping fruit and juice as needed, checking alcohol, mixer, and snack supplies, etc.
Maintains a visibly clean and sanitary bar area
Adheres to proper alcohol handling, sanitation and safety procedures
Handle a solo bar for long periods of time
Verify guests’ identification to ensure they meet legal drinking age
Operate a cash register, collect payments, and return change accurately
Speak and interact with guests using clear and professional language
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
