What are the responsibilities and job description for the Planner/ Buyer position at Resilience?
Role:
This individual will work within Supply Chain, a part of GMP Operations, and will support non-GMP, Clinical, GMP manufacturing, and new project/products. Responsibilities include the development of processes, Purchase Order (PO) creation and management, cost analysis, inventory management, and vendor management - in accordance with company policies and procedures. The position requires collaboration cross-functionally with various internal stakeholders to ensure effective, efficient, and timely material planning and inventory management as well as the support services for the operation.
The position requires in-depth knowledge of ERP systems in a Manufacturing/Supply Chain environment, a proven experience in GMP Supplier Quality management, strong analytical and advanced Excel skills with the ability to quickly analyze data and re-balance inventories supporting manufacturing activities to provide an optimal service level and performance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain GMP material plan and orders against that plan to ensure material supply to meet Manufacturing demand and strategic company activities
- Create and manage POs to support GMP and non-GMP buying/planning.
- Ensure that laboratories and manufacturing have sufficient inventory.
- Coordinate with appropriate departments to maintain inventory at planned levels. Evaluate inventory levels and adjust order requirements accordingly.
- Process purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers
- Anticipate and risk mitigate Supplier change notifications protecting the uninterrupted manufacturing
- Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; monitor approval of invoices for payment, receipt reconciliation and invoice discrepancies.
- Evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine compatibility with company objectives.
- Negotiate with suppliers on pricing and delivery times to manage cost of goods manufactured
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with critical suppliers to drive value to Elevate by improved supplier performance, TCO, quality, and service
- Review opportunities for new supply sources and suitability of materials offered.
- Identify potential supply risks, communicate to management, and support development and execution of risk mitigations as needed
- Develop inventory policy based on risk assessment and production plan
- Ensure SOX compliance for company, if appropriate
- Interpret and analyze demand and usage of various materials, make recommendations to inventory policy by item, and manage inventory to meet demand
- Assist with the development and implementation of standard operating procedures, work instructions and training materials
- Establish key stakeholder relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to interact with all levels within the organization, inclusive but not limited to Supply Chain, Planning, Procurement, Warehouse/Logistics, Operations, Finance, R&D, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years experience in Pharma or Biologics Manufacturing/Supply Chain is required, or at least five years of equivalent work experience.
- Thorough knowledge of Procure to Pay flows.
- Purchasing experience using an ERP system is required.
- MS Dynamics experience is highly preferred.
- Understanding of legal concepts as related to vendor agreement contracts.
- Understanding of accounting/finance practices.
- Excellent relationship management skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with suppliers, and internal business customers, and senior management.

- Strength in communicating and working effectively with broad stakeholders in various scientific/technical/business disciplines
- Very strong influencing capabilities with an ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and across different functions
- Ability to promote a mindset of continuous improvement, problem solving, and prevention
- Technologically savvy with the ability to quickly adopt new systems and processes. Proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables and Advanced Analytics), Word, Visio, and exposure to ERP and other financial accounting systems
