As a UX Designer, you’ll be responsible for applying user-centered methodologies to deliver an end-to-end user experience that meets user needs and solves user problems, in line with business goals. You’ll pull from qualitative research, knowledge of user pain points, personas and quantitative data to make informed design decisions. You’ll be focused on exploring different approaches to solving user problems, communicating user scenarios, designing how ResMed digital products feel, how information is organized (information architecture and navigation), and ensure logical flows from one step to the next.

Understand and advocate for our users and their needs through building empathy, incorporating their behavior, attitudes, and emotions, leveraging research insights and domain analysis to craft meaningful solutions
Represent UX on a product team, partnering with Product Management and Engineering peers, collaborate with companion teams including Industrial Design, Tech Comms, Product Marketing, Consumer Insights, Brand
Participate in discovery workshops and ongoing interaction with key stakeholders to develop user-centric solutions
Develop concepts, sketches, wireframes, flows, journey maps, storyboards, and other design artifacts.
Prototype and rapidly iterate semi-functional, lo- to mid-fidelity designs based on user research, acknowledging technical feasibility
Facilitate the design process; including ideation sessions, design sprints, design studio; participate in critiques and reviews, contributing to our global design system
Assist with user research, usability tests, customer interviews, etc., develop success criteria, analyze results and provide recommendations
Collaborate with other designers and leads to ensure a holistic and cohesive user experience across the ecosystem
Act as a UX evangelist and champion for the team
Ability to travel up to 10%

Let's talk about Qualifications and Experience
Required
Minimum 3 years’ experience designing in an agile, fast-paced and collaborative environment alongside engineering and product management
Bachelor’s degree in design, HCI, or equivalent professional experience as an interaction/user experience designer
Online portfolio demonstrating user-centered design methods with examples of artifacts for digital (e.g. web, mobile, app), physical and/or service experience products e.g. lo-fi sketches, wireframes, flows, prototypes, storyboarding, journey maps, etc.
Fluent in modern collaboration, wireframing and prototyping tools
Solid understanding of modern web principles (responsive grids, hierarchy, information architecture, navigation patterns, etc), user-centered design methodologies
Familiarity with web technologies and their impact on feasibility of design solutions, familiarity with HTML, CSS, Javascript/JQuery, and cross-browser compatibility
Proven track record in delivering delightful and easy-to-use products and services based on user needs, using research to validate design decisions
Effective problem-solver, communicator, presenter, and negotiator
Ability to manage multiple projects in a timely manner
Preferred
Visual Design skills a plus
Experience facilitating design workshops a plus
Experience with user research studies a plus
Experience with lean innovation and experimentation a plus
Experience working in the healthcare field and/or medical devices a plus
Knowledge and/or experience working on AI/ML driven products a plus
Master’s Degree in design, HCI/Cognitive Science, Psychology, or commensurate experience
