We are currently recruiting for a Lithograpic Press Operator to join our 3x13 Shift Thursday-Saturday! The Litho Operator is responsible for the setup and operation of the sheet-fed lithographic printing press. They will produce quality products using lithographic plates on paper stock by performing the following duties.

We are currently recruiting for a Lithograpic Press Operator to join our 3x13 Shift Thursday-Saturday! The Litho Operator is responsible for the setup and operation of the sheet-fed lithographic printing press. They will produce quality products using lithographic plates on paper stock by performing the following duties.
- Read and interpret job order.
- Determine quantity to be printed, stock specifications, colors, and special printing instructions. Enter all required job information into the computer system.
- Review and sign off daily time sheets.
- Installs and locks plate into position, using hand tools, to achieve pressure required for printing. Measures plate thickness and inserts packing sheets on plate cylinder to build up plate to printing height.
- Fills ink and dampening solution fountains, and adjusts controls to regulate flow of ink and dampening solution to plate cylinder.
- Removes and cleans plate and cylinders
- Loads paper into feeder or installs rolls of paper, adjusts feeder and delivery mechanisms, and unloads printed material from delivery mechanism.
- Measures paper thickness and adjusts space between blanket and impression cylinders according to thickness of paper stock.
- Makes adjustments to press throughout production run to maintain specific registration and color density.
- Starts press and examines printed copy for ink density, position on paper, and registration.
- Complete daily assigned jobs as scheduled to shift and produce within budgetary times.
- Demonstrate proficiency in quick changeover to minimize waste of materials.
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly maintenance as required.
- Ensure all safety guards and kill switches are in working condition and in place.
- Record needed repairs for maintenance and scheduling of repair.
- Ensure maintenance department documents completion of repair on the maintenance log.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards to ensure a high level of quality printing is achieved.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of three years or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- One year of previous experience as a lithographic operator strongly preferred.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and frequently is required to walk
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without mechanical assistance
