We are currently looking for a Senior Associate Attorney who is enthusiastic, assertive, and proactive, with a minimum of 7 years of experience to join our client’s distinguished boutique law firm which specializes in business bankruptcy and commercial litigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background, with specific experience in boutique law firms. Additionally, we highly value candidates who have previously worked in the unique legal landscape of New York City, bringing with them a deep understanding of the local legal market and practices. Our client's firm is based in New York City (Midtown Manhattan) and is comprised of a team of experienced and highly accomplished Attorneys.
Responsibilities:
- Handle a variety of litigation matters including breach of contract, fraud, real estate disputes, and bankruptcy cases.
- Demonstrate proficiency in defending commercial cases and navigating mediation processes.
- Independently manage caseloads from inception to resolution.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and support staff to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Display a proactive, go-getter attitude toward legal challenges.
- Juris Doctor degree (JD)
- New York State Bar Admission (mandatory)
- New Jersey State Bar Admission (nice to have)
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in litigation, with a strong preference for candidates from established firms.
- Proven experience in boutique law firms, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of specialized legal practices.
- Background in legal matters specific to New York City, showcasing a deep familiarity with the local legal landscape and market.
- Proficiency in breach of contract, fraud, and real estate litigation.
- Familiarity with bankruptcy proceedings is highly beneficial.
- Understanding of how to defend commercial cases.
- Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
- Strong mediation skills and experience are desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this position ranges from $200,000 to $300,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
