IT Server Rack Assemblers/Service Technician
1st shift / Mon-Thurs
6:00am-4:30pm
$18-$20/HR Depending on Experience
IT Server Rack Assembler – will build complicated assemblies, perform simple soldering, and build cables.
Service Tech – provide service and support of existing EOD robotic systems. Experience with complex electro-mechanical assemblies and has the ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and has an aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving.
Assembly Responsibilities
• Assist Lead Technician with cable routing of various rack systems
• Apply comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents
• Receive technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher level technician, and work is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices
Service Tech Responsibilities
- Installing, maintaining and repair of products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at the business site, customer and/or field locations.
- Instruction of customers in equipment operation, provides technical assistance, performs preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment for malfunctions to eliminate problem in minimum time.
- Performing one or many of a wide range of assembly and repairs/upgrades of customer equipment including electro/mechanical assembly, electronics installation, system integration and testing.
- Installation of upgrades and removal of products ensuring coordinative engineering field change. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- The employee is required to reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
- The employee must have effective communication skills and relations to include phone, email and in-person correspondence within customer call center and/or at customer locations.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2- 4 years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly
• Skilled in complex mechanical, sub-assembly, rack and chassis assembly
• Skilled in building cable assemblies
• Ability to interpret and work to detailed drawings, assembly work instructions
• Read blueprint diagram schematic
Desired Experiences:
- Customer service center or field service technician experience.
- Experience in using customer database for maintaining customer service and repair records.
- Experience in service, operation and/or manufacture of electro-mechanical assemblies.
