Reach Forklift Operator

We are looking for skilled candidates with excellent attention to detail for the position of reach forklift driver. Reach forklift operators are responsible for optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency, and managing inventory by utilizing RF scanning equipment, among other duties.

Shift:

Both the 1^st shift and 2^nd shifts have different in and out times. 1^st shift is the morning shift and the 2^nd shift is the afternoon shift. Weekend availability is necessary. There will be a day off, but it will be during the week, on a weekday.

Pay:

The starting pay will be $11.50 for the 1^st shift and $12.25 for the 2^nd shift. With increase possibilities upon completion of the probationary period of up to $16.00

Reach Forklift Operator Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate the reach forklift exceeding 40 feet in lifting capacity.
• Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse items.
• Transporting materials to different locations within the facility.
• Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.
• Securing loads to the machine before transportation.
• Managing inventory by utilizing RF scanning equipment.
• Picking and wrapping orders for shipment.
• Identifying workplace safety hazards.
• Adhering to safety management standards.
• Adhering to production schedules.
• Check and count freight for accuracy and/or damage.
• Clear work area of loose wood and plastic, sweep area as needed.
• Report faulty equipment, damage to racks, and other safety hazards to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Reach Forklift Operator Requirements:

• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Proficiency in operating technical machinery and RF scanners.
• Good physical condition.
• Mathematical aptitude.
• Good organizational skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to become reach truck and forklift certified.
• Must be able to work overtime, days and/or evenings, and weekend.
• Ability to safely lift up 60 lbs. frequently.
