We have a direct hire opening for a Tax and Accounting Manager in the South Sound area at a public CPA and consulting firm. This is a 1st shift opening!
This full-service CPA firm provides a wide range of services including accounting, tax, assurance, and consulting services to many industries including health care professionals, insurance agencies, construction, closely-held businesses, small businesses, and more.

Salary and Shift Information:
- Salary: $120K–$150K/a year with both annual and profit-sharing bonuses
- 1st Shift: Mon-Fri with a flexible hybrid schedule: 4 days in the office, 1 day remote
Job Duties of the Tax and Accounting Manager:
- Oversee the tax return preparation and review process
- Prepare accurate federal and state tax returns for individuals, businesses, non-profits, trusts, and estates
- Provide expert advice on a range of tax issues, including federal and state tax return preparation, IRS representation, business tax analysis, and state and local tax strategies
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies for individuals and businesses to minimize liabilities and optimize financial health
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and understand their needs for delivering customized, value-added tax, accounting, and assurance services
- Provide strategic guidance on financial reporting, internal control assessments, and fraud prevention to help clients enhance their operational efficiency and financial integrity
- Offer expertise in business valuations, mergers, acquisitions, and succession planning as part of the firm’s consulting services
- Manage and provide guidance to tax staff and senior accountants; help to develop their skills and knowledge in accounting and tax preparation

Job Requirements of the Tax and Accounting Manager:
- 6-10 years of experience in public accounting is required
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in accounting or related field
- CPA certification is required
- Have a strong background in accounting, assurance services, and financial consulting
- Proficient in the use of accounting software, QuickBooks, CCH Access Tax, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Have excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Be capable of working effectively with clients and team members
