Revenue Cycle Analyst
Description/Job Summary
The Revenue Cycle Analyst supports the continued development and deployment of the EHR/Billing software and other revenue cycle related technology.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Supports the revenue cycle team with program software pre-implementation discovery.
- Prepares and presents monthly reporting of metrics and trends.
- Monitors and responds to help desk support tickets.
- Supports the department with configuration and system maintenance of the electronic health record/billing system (myAvatar).
- Monitors Room and Board (R&B) activity for RHD Representative Payee and non-RHD Representative Payee (third party) accounts by maintaining a system for managing financial activities including:
- Perform Cash Applications,
- Support the Revenue Cycle Managers/Directors in the review of aged accounts receivable including making inquiries and documenting and communicating collection issues or concerns with program leaders and the divisional staff,
- Complete and report on adjustments to billing and write-offs,
- Collaborate to create and implement procedures for more efficient systems to monitor and manage related processes,
Required Experience
Four years experience required.
Required Education
Required Qualifications
Prior work experience in billing, claims and payment posting for healthcare and/or behavioral health in a high-volume medical billing environment.
Proficient in Excel and Outlook to include proficient use of pivot tables and V look-up. Ability to work with multiple spreadsheets to analyze data.
Must be detail-oriented and possess ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
Experience with Netsmart applications (myAvatar) is preferred.
