Solutions Architect

Job Description:

REQUIRED:

Integration experience with CRM and ERP’s.

CRM: Salesforce or Mulesoft

ERP: SAP or Dynamics 365

Hands-on architecture experience

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Investigating, analyzing, and evaluating various technology alternatives and arriving at the best solution to solve specific business problems in a cost effective way.

• Assessing the systems architecture currently in place and working with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it.

• Defining features, phases, system components, interfaces, integration points, and solution requirements.

• Providing technical direction, oversight of technical design, effort estimation, and delivery of assigned projects.

• Providing updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs, and budgets.

• Conducting code reviews and ensuring compliance with architectural guidelines.

• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs and technical requirements and constraints.

• Providing guidance to development teams as it pertains to a solution implementation.

• Continually researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed.

• Informing various stakeholders about any problems with the current technical solutions being implemented.

• Assessing the business impact that certain technical choices have.

• Develops and maintains the integration technology stack to include commercial platforms.

• Provides expert advice to project teams on the use of integration technology, data architecture and modeling, and system architecture, including integration best practices.

• Partners with leaders of other disciplines to ensure proposed solutions align with information, technology, infrastructure, business, and security architectures.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & WORK REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or IT, or equivalent experience required.

• 5 years of relevant work experience in enterprise system services.

• Experience working with APIs from commercial software applications (CRM or ERP).

• Experience with web services, SOAP, JSON, XML Schema Definition (XSD), Extensible Markup Language (XML), business process automation, and orchestration tools and software.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of enterprise architecture, systems architecture, integration architecture and data architecture standards, frameworks, and practices.

• Knowledge of common system integration methods and technologies including Web services, SOAP, JSON, XML Schema Definition (XSD), Extensible Markup Language (XML), Business process automation and orchestration tools and software.

• Expertise in solution design and development, vendor management, enterprise application support, in addition to strong business understanding and project management.

• Experience with the implementation of Continuous Integration practices and tooling to support automated build, delivery and regression test of commercial software.

• Experience working with APIs from commercial software applications, such as CRM or ERP systems.

• Critical thinking and ability to look at problems from different angles.

• Experience in all phases of project life cycle with a demonstrative history executing effective project management.

• A passion for all things tech with a drive to experiment with new technologies to see where they can benefit the business.

• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proven cross-functional collaboration and relationship-building skills, and ability to achieve results without direct reporting relationships.

• Experience selecting and working with vendors and third-party consultants including responsibility of related deliverables.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, where effective decision making and rapid iteration are essential, and priorities shift frequently.
