What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Resident Representative position at ResourceTek, LLC?
In support of our client, a global automotive manufacturer, ResourceTek is currently seeking a Construction Resident Representative to act in a Site Superintendent capacity to monitor the ongoing projects taking place within an active manufacturing facility located in Aiken, SC. This is a multi-year project-based contract opportunity.
Selected candidate will monitor the construction progress of client’s project on-site to ensure that project progresses in accordance with the planned schedule, cost control, quality assurance, and safety compliance. A qualified individual with experience in the construction industry. This individual will be field stationed and responsible for performing the following job tasks/requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Gathering, reviewing, and distributing all daily paperwork (toolbox talks, daily reports, demolition quantities, etc).
- Making sure all contract employees have proper PPE per Bridgestone standards and are working safely.
- Make sure all contractors are properly badged and have gate access.
- Making sure the repair area is in a clean and orderly manner. All tools and debris must be cleaned up at the EOD.
- Coordinating with the onsite staff to limit any interruptions to daily production.
- Assemble owner daily reports and distribute.
- Monitor the slab removal and provide a daily quantity take off for the removed area.
- Provide schedule updates to the project manager on a regular basis.
- Capture any deficiencies and provide to the project manager for resolution.
- Take daily pictures of the repair process, distribute, and file.
- Monitor the work progress and help facilitate the contractor’s needs.
- Coordinate any owner provided items.
- Assist in coordinating contractor deliveries and coordinate the storage of material.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in industrial Construction Management, preferably in an owner's representative role.
- Experience with Heavy/Industrial/Commercial Construction
- BS in Construction Management, Engineering (Civil) or related is desired. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
