POSITION SUMMARY: The Parts Counter Associate is primarily responsible for researching, acquiring, and selling parts, glass, accessories, and related components at retail or wholesale to all available customers while maintaining the highest level of customer service, satisfaction, and retention.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Promptly greet customers upon arrival, communicate with the customer to determine their parts need, recommend any related parts that may be required, offer specials and ensure the customer is exposed to the full product line.
· Determine parts required based on inspections of old parts, customer requests, or customers’ descriptions of malfunctions and pull parts from inventory.
· Handle incoming parts related phone calls.
· Coordinate purchases to maximize profit to achieve profit goals while maintaining customer satisfaction.
· Issue and print Parts Invoices to allow cashier to collect payment from customer and issue credit memos for parts returned.
· Ensure that customers, the Glass Department, the Service Department, and the Collision Department are aware of any backorders, delays, or completed orders.
· Print a picking ticket for multiple parts orders that stocked parts can be pulled from the inventory and placed in a holding bin.
· Assist with parts delivery, department maintenance, annual inventory, loading or unloading freight, generating or posting orders, stocking inventory as needed
· Assist in organization of inventory, ensure that all necessary parts are stocked and ready for purchase, and special order any parts not in stock.
· Work with the Glass, Service and Collision Departments to ensure that they have the parts needed to complete repairs in a timely manner.
· Discuss use and features of various parts based on knowledge of machines or equipment.
· Strive to increase and improve customer communication and follow up to maintain relationship and ensure satisfaction with the service and products being provided.
· Update job knowledge by participating in training and education opportunities and keep current on new products and product updates.
· Ensure that work area is organized and cleaned daily.
· Adhere to and enforce all company policies and procedures.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or Equivalent.
· Prior experience in automotive parts or service departments preferred.
Salary : $40,000 - $50,000
