About Us
Rest Haven Homes, founded in 1941, is a conservative Christian Senior community to over 100 residents. Our residents reside in independent apartments or our licensed Home for Aged with Memory care unit on six-acres nestled in a residential neighborhood in northeast Grand Rapids. Our mission is based on Galatians 5:13 "by love serve one another", we seek to live this out as we provide care to the aging saints we care for.
Job Summary
Responsible to represent Rest Haven Homes with a high degree of spirituality and character. The Staff Accountant is responsible to manage ministry monies to the highest degree of integrity keeping the Administrator and the Board of Directors apprised of all expenditures and financial needs.
Key Responsibilites
- Responsible for cash management which includes cash receipts, deposits and transfers of bank, PayPal and credit cards
- Prepare bi-weekly payroll and tax reporting
- Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Plan, develop and administer the annual forecast budget
- Preparing monthly financial statements for the Board of Directors and Administrator
- Attend board meetings and present financial and budget information needed to guide decisions
- Maintain Resident Databases
Qualifications
May have a bachelor's degree in accounting, business management or similar and have at least 2 years of experience or have extensive accounting experience.
