Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities and equipment. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Duties:
- Conduct routine inspections of sawmill machinery and equipment to identify any issues or potential problems
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as lubricating parts, cleaning equipment, and replacing worn-out components
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system malfunctions
- Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
- Fabricate or modify parts as needed using stick welding techniques
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
- Collaborate with other team members to improve maintenance procedures and optimize equipment performance

Qualifications:
- Strong technical sales skills to effectively communicate with vendors and suppliers
- Proficiency in hydraulics, including troubleshooting and repair
- Experience in stick welding and the ability to fabricate parts when necessary
- Solid mechanical knowledge and aptitude for diagnosing and repairing machinery
- Ability to weld using various techniques (MIG, TIG, stick) is highly desirable
- Previous experience in industrial maintenance or as an industrial electrician is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
