What are the responsibilities and job description for the Detox Residential Technician - Swing Shift position at Restore Detox Centers LLC?
POSITION SUMMARY :
Swing Shift 3:00PM-11:30PM (Schedule Sunday-Thursday)
Detox/Residential Technicians are responsible for the shift-by-shift supervision of the client milieu and attending to client's essential needs while on detoxification and residential protocols. Detox/Residential Technicians are the core of our company with unparalleled access to clients requiring the greatest representation of our professionalism, values, and culture.
Essential Functions:
• Conducting admissions of clients including orientation, intake assessment, urine screen, medication management, protocols and recurring assessments, secure search/storage of personal property.
• Hourly adherence to JCAHO and state client care standards.
• Communicating with physician, entering physician orders, and following physician orders in overseeing client medication management.
• Proficient documentation in KIPU Systems client management software.
• Documenting client daily progress.
• Facility walk-throughs and maintaining control of care environment establishing a consistent presence and awareness of client behavior.
• Enforcing policies and procedures
• Maintaining cleanliness of facility and food preparation as needed.
• Facilitating groups, program activities, and maintaining client schedules. • Delegation of necessary tasks to support staff and fulfilling support staff duties as needed. • Recurring assessment, interaction, observation, and documentation of clients.
• Communicating thoroughly and accurately verbally and via shift notes to ensure continuity of high quality of care. • Crisis Intervention.
• Conducting client discharge, returning client personal items, logging and following destruction of medication procedures, coordinating client transportation and continuity of care with next level of care environment and/or facility.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
Competencies: • Ability to multi-task, delegate tasks, manage client care, maintain facility standards.
• Desire to assist those with chemical dependency in their recovery.
Education:
• Minimum High School Graduate or GED.
• 2 years college preferred with emphasis in Human Services or 2 years actively working in the same position in the field of recovery.
• Drug and Alcohol Counseling Certification Desired.
Experience:
• 1-2 years experience in the field of recovery or equivalent human services work experience preferred. • Prior experience in detox environment highly desired. Computer Skills: • Computer Literacy in doc, spreadsheet, and email.
• Proficiency in KIPU Systems Client Management Software. Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver’s License
• CPR/First AID
Other Requirements: • Negative TB test results within past year • Medical Clearance to work within past year • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings!!!
