Job Description

In this role you will perform data engineering activities, such as sourcing, data profiling, and transformation or manipulation functions on complex, advanced analytics projects. Work closely with the Data Engineering and Architecture Director, project managers, data architects, and data scientists on requirements, solution architecture, and development execution. Discover, evaluate, and document data sources for quality, accuracy, availability, completeness, and other key document characteristics. Design and support the build of data pipelines (software, ETL) and workflows to combine data from disparate sources from varied relational and no SQL databases and platforms. Participate in client-facing project activities such as requirements gathering, solution reviews, and explaining technical complexities and business benefits in layperson terms. Help define and create database schemas and architecture design-related documentation.

Qualifications

The qualifications and skills we are expecting include the following:

• Must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related field and Four (4) years of experience in data sourcing and ETL, business intelligence, data architecture, database development, or analytics.
• Will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely-related field and six (6) years of experience in data sourcing and ETL, business intelligence, data architecture, database development, or analytics in lieu of the Master’s degree and four (4) years of experience requirements.
• Additional experience must include:
• Analytics solution delivery, including data sourcing, architecture, and data modeling of warehouses/marts/repositories
• Data integration/ transformation/ ETL; APIs; cubes; reporting and analytics
• One or more ETL toolset (SAP Data Services, Microsoft SSIS, etc.)
• Modern software development using python and SQL
• Experience with one or more cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Sourcing data from various noSQL database platforms (such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, Neo4j, or similar)
• Sourcing data from various relational database platforms (Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, etc.)
• Sourcing data from flat files (JSON, XML, CSV, etc.)
• Leading client-facing interactions, gathering requirements, and presenting solutions
