POSITION SUMMARY: The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring and supervising the overall cleanliness of Resurgence Texas’s facilities. The cleaning personnel are a vital part in ensuring a clean, orderly, and attractive experience. This is especially important within the client rooms and common areas at Resurgence Texas. Assignment of duties will be given daily, work will be inspected for quality and accuracy. Housekeeping service equipment will be provided to ensure the highest quality of cleanliness. The Housekeeper works closely with and under the supervision of the Operations Manager/ Executive Director.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To maintain a clean, sanitary, comfortable environment for RTX employees and client’s.
- Sweep, mop and polish floors to maintain a fresh and clean environment.
- Vacuum carpets, rugs and draperies.
- Dust and polish furniture and fittings.
- Clean and sanitize metal fixtures and fittings.
- Empty and clean and sanitize trash containers.
- Dispose of trash in a sanitary manner.
- Clean and sanitize wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers.
- Clean and sanitize glass surfaces.
- Make up beds and change linens when needed and sanitize mattresses with sanitizing spray.
- Refresh and deep clean and sanitize client rooms when needed
- Wash windows as scheduled on the housekeeping calendar.
- Sort, wash, load and unload laundry as scheduled or requested.
- Sanitize all furnishings as scheduled on the housekeeping calendar.
- Operate mechanized cleaning equipment.
- Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition.
- Monitor and report necessary domestic repairs and replacements.
- Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to Resurgence Texas’s standards.
- Inspect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies.
- Notify superiors on any damages, deficits and disturbances.
- Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.
- With each room or area complete, inspect the area to ensure all items are in place and organized.
- Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices.
- Follows HIPAA Regulations.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and training.
- Other duties, as assigned.

- Basic knowledge of HIPAA compliance and privacy measures

QUALIFICATIONS AND PREFERENCES:
- A minimum of 1 year of sobriety if in recovery.
- 1-3 years’ experience as a cleaner or housekeeper.
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
- Customer-oriented and friendly.
- Prioritization and time management skills
- Working quickly without compromising quality
- Knowledge of English language
- High school degree or equivalent
- Have dependable transportation
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with diversity.
- Current CPR & First Aid Certification.
