Senior GIS Analyst 1

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior GIS Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing GIS analysis, database design, interpretation, organization, manipulation, and processing of spatial data using GIS software for Survey/GIS and their external clients.

Responsibilities:

- Perform GIS analysis, database design, interpretation, organization, manipulation, and processing of spatial data using GIS software.

- Maintain, administer, and support ArcGIS Online Databases and Applications.

- Work with ArcGIS Online Experience Builder, Web App Builder, Field Maps, and Survey 123

- Assist with any GIS-related marketing efforts internally for Survey/GIS.

- Technically manage the GIS phase within small and medium projects ($2,500-$10,000) with their external clients.

- Train staff and their external clients in the use of GIS software and applications.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, or related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in GIS analysis, database design, interpretation, organization, manipulation, and processing of spatial data using GIS software.

- Must have adequate knowledge and experience with Python, SQL, JavaScript, and Git.

- Must have strong experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.

- Experience in supervising and creating GIS tabular data, metadata, digital maps, and hardcopy maps, gathering data, and converting data using GIS software.

- Strong technical skills in GIS software and applications.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong attention to detail, quality, and problem-solving skills.
