Job Summary:
Acts as Financial Business Partner to the VP/GM for the business unit. The Controller has immediate responsibility for the organization’s accounting practices, fiscal records, and preparation of its financial statements and related reports. Directs and has overall supervisory responsibility for general accounting, internal and external audit coordination, cost accounting systems and information, budget preparation and control. Responsible for appraising operating results in terms of costs, budgets, policies of operations, trends, and profitability. This role reports to the Division Controller for REV’s Fire Division.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages financial close, forecast, and budget process in a timely and accurate manner.
- Interprets financial results and creates reporting packages for plant VP/GM and Divisional Controller; ability to bridge financial results to forecast, prior year, and budget.
- Provide innovative thought leadership on strategies to grow market share, increase profitability, and meet long-term business goals to the engineering team.
- Acts as the steward of product costing; develops tools in which to obtain and use data to drive plant performance.
- Manages accounts receivable and coordinates with sales on payments & locations.
- Manages accounts payable and coordinates payments and payment terms in conjunction with supply chain management.
- Monitors inventory and working capital; advises management on actions needed to manage or reduce accordingly.
- Knowledge of SOX controls including creation of process documentation and SOD adherence
- Establishes and administers accounting procedures and practices.
- Partners with business unit VP/GM to ensure product is scheduled in the most efficient manner to insure the on-time delivery of our products to the customer and attainment of the financial plan.
- Develops proposals for capital expenditures and develops projections and meets budget requirements for all manufacturing operations.
- Directs/develops financial staff by training, coaching, counseling, and monitoring employee performance to drive a high performing finance team.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
- Prior ERP experience required – Great Plains Software Package preferred.
- Self-starter: Ability to drive work schedule and results on own
- Must be able to effectively partner with leadership at all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to effectively communicate and influence all levels of the organization.
- Detail oriented
- Demonstrate the ability to lead a team and get results through both direct and indirect reports.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting. Master’s Degree preferred.
- CPA or CMA preferred.
- Five (5) years’ experience in an accounting/finance leadership role with proficiency in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong Cost Accounting experience, experience managing the accounting function and completing financial forecasts in a manufacturing environment.

Salary : $95,400 - $121,000
