WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE
With a focus on exceptional service delivery to multiple Blackstone Real Estate Portfolio Companies, the Associate, Compensation will serve as subject matter expert for internal partners on compensation and reporting. Key point of contact for People & Culture team on all broad-based compensation questions, issues and projects, including but not limited to: LTIP administration, maintaining compensation tools, job evaluations, salary surveys, and the annual merit/bonus/LTI process. Responsible for compensation data analysis, maintenance of compensation data and systems and providing support to the People & Culture team and portfolio companies we support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and resourceful.
Responsibilities
HOW YOU ADD VALUE
- Administers compensation policies and procedures, including all aspects of pay administration, including base pay, variable pay and equity compensation.
- Assists with the year-end compensation pay planning process
- Assists with the onboarding of new portfolio companies by analyzing their current compensation structure and aligning it with our pay for performance philosophy
- Evaluates and analyzes salary data, may determines pay grades, and conducts or participates in compensation surveys
- Administers LTI and maintains LTI vendor portal
- Partners with the People & Culture Business Partner and Talent Attraction to identify compensation mix for new roles. Ensures the compensation program enhances the organization's ability to recruit and retain employees through market pay analysis
- Conduct job evaluations and recommends compensation mix in line with the company’s pay philosophy
- Maintains job description database, job family, and job title schemes
- Manage projects, such as developing/maintaining job architecture and pay structures along with leading the implementation of new compensation-related technology and maintenance/enhancement of existing systems
- Assists with the development of compensation-related training materials and communications
- Prepares ad hoc analyses and reports
- Evaluates job positions, determining FLSA classification pay grade, and salary, annual bonus and if applicable, LTI
- Supports the year-end compensation pay planning cycle for bonus, LTI and merit
- Identify, document and implement process and technology improvements to enhance functional effectiveness and maximize operational efficiency
- Audit data to maintain the integrity and accuracy of all compensation data
- Other job duties, as assigned
Qualifications
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 3 years of experience in compensation and HRIS systems.
- Ability to communicate both written and verbally with all levels within the organization.
- Advanced level skills using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Self-motivated with the ability to be flexible in fast-paced, changing environments.
- Collaborative open approach to work and team members.
- Excellent people skills with a focus on solutions to deliver the best service possible.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at a time that are deadline driven.
