The Controls Engineer will work on controls and automation projects to install new manufacturing systems and upgrade existing manufacturing systems. They will provide on-site support for controls and automation activities. This position is a REMOTE position near Minneapolis/ St. Paul.

Responsibilities

The Responsibilities of the Controls Engineer include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop/Install/Commission Controls & Automation Systems, including PLC Programming, HMI Development, & MES Data Collection
  • Controls & Automation Systems Technical Support,
  • Design & Specification of Plant Control System Architecture, including Control Panels, Hardware, and Communication Protocols
  • Develop/Enforce Process Controls Standards
  • Must be someone hands on, willingness to change panel components and devices. 


Requirements


  • Minimum of 4 years working within a Controls & Automation Engineering role
  • Ladder Logic Programming within Allen Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix) is required
  • Experience with Ignition is preferred
  • Experience with Ethernet/IP Communication
