POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production processes for assembling and wiring of industrial electrical control panels. As the Production Manager, you will coordinate, plan, and direct the activities to ensure our control systems are produced efficiently on time, within budget, and to quality standards. You will supervise, train, and mentor the production personnel and manage all employees of the department. You are responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department and are responsible for supporting and coordinating with all engineering, production, and construction operations to meet our customer requirements for quality, schedule, and budget.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Decide how best to use technical workers and equipment to meet production goal and customer requirements.
· Ensure production stays on schedule and within budget.
· Hire, supervise, train and mentor production personnel.
· Analyze production date.
· Monitor employees to ensure they meet performance and safety requirements.
· Constantly improve the production process to make it more efficient; create a culture of improvement.
· Determine whether new machines are needed and whether overtime work is necessary.
· Resolve any productions problems that may arise.
· Provide a positive work environment.
· Monitor the job utilization of production personnel daily (hours to job assignment, hours to overhead, training, clean-up, meetings, improvement initiatives, employee sick leave, vacation, leaves of absence).
· Provide production labor estimates to the estimate group for projects.
· Ensure that work and storage areas are maintained and organized.
· Communicate policies and procedures to production personnel.
· Collaborate and coordinate with engineering to ensure product quality standards and resolve technical issues.
· Serve as a member of various employee committees.
· Represent the Revere solutions/culture/work ethic in all interactions with vendors, customers, potential customers, employees, and potential employees.
· Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Previous experience building electrical control panels required; understand skilled electrical work in the design, layout, assembly, wiring, and testing of electrical control panels.
· High school or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
· Minimum three (3) years’ experience in production management, including experience or training in supervision or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Five (5) years of proven direct supervision and management experience.
· Extensive knowledge of production processes.
· Knowledge of current policies and practices of leadership.
· Knowledge of quality systems and standards.
· Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions.
· Knowledge of electrical theory as applied to work situations.
· Ability to operate the tools and equipment in the production areas.
· Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
· Ability to understand and provide verbal and written instructions.
· Strong technical and operational knowledge of electrical systems.
· Ability to use Microsoft Office software.
· Ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
· Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written).

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time position, and business hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Longer hours, evenings and weekend work will frequently be necessary.
