Position Summary: We are looking for an outgoing individual to come join our team as a physical therapy aide.
Essential Job Functions:
- Supports physical therapy care by preparing treatment areas, patients, and equipment.
- Prepares patients for physical therapy treatment by welcoming, comforting, providing and/or assisting patient into physical therapy room.
- Provides information to patients by answering questions and requests and allaying fears.
- Helps treat patients by applying heat packs and performing prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques.
- Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment. Provides equipment and supplies by sterilizing and delivering equipment and supplies to treatment area and positioning equipment for therapist access.
- Maintains physical therapy supply inventory by checking and stocking the physical therapy room and consultation rooms.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED. Completion of a college level anatomy course preferred.
- Prior physical therapy experience is preferred, or someone who's career path is Physical Therapy.
- Willingness to adhere to HIPAA regulations and protect patients' privacy.
- Attention to detail, good communication skills, punctual, and ability to multi-task.
- Compassionate and empathetic towards patients.
- Must be a self-starter and be able to work in fast paced office environment.
- We are looking for someone who is able to see a need and jump in.
- Ability to speak Spanish is a plus
Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8:30-5:30
Salary : $25,000 - $31,700
