We are looking for a talented Quality expert to join our team to coordinate all functions of quality assurance and statistical process control in the plant manufacturing areas for our Auburn, Alabama operations. In this role, you will coordinate quality assurance functions with all other departments to ensure reliable products, which meet or exceed product standards and customer expectations including advanced quality planning and statistical information related to monitoring the costs of the quality program.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Reviews customer and engineering requirements to establish quality specifications and standards for incoming materials, components and finished products insuring compliance and quality products.
  • Develops and recommends inspections, sampling techniques and quality control procedures using the production of finished products that meet or exceed quality specifications and standards. Develops and ensures the maintenance of the IATF/ISO 9000 quality system.
  • Maintains continuous improvement effort by conducting research on product defects recommendingimprovement modifications for correction and studies cost improvement methods/projects making recommendations.
  • Writes and institutes inspection and testing procedures for incoming and finished products periodically reviewing and re-evaluating current procedures to insure proper product inspection and testing are done.
  • Reviews customer quality complaints and initiates corrective action to expedite resolution and satisfy our customers.
  • Acts as company liaison between customers and suppliers to resolve specific quality problems, institutingand maintaining a supplier surveillance program to determine if suppliers are fulfilling quality requirements.
  • Administers direct supervisory responsibility for Quality personnel including selection, hiring, training, performance evaluations, promotional recommendations and work schedules.
  • Evaluates current and new quality assurance programs making recommendations for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in related field

Experience:

  • Formal Education in Quality Control Processes.
  • Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • IATF 16949 Knowledge preferred may substitute ISO 9001experience
  • Knowledge of PPAP, SPC, and Engineering experience.
  • Basic Knowledge of Injection Molding.
  • 5 – 7 years Quality Technician / Engineering experience.
  • Additional education may be substituted for experience and vice versa.

  • Blueprint Reading
  • PPAP Process Experience
  • GD&T
