What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School Restorative Justice Coach position at Revere Public School District?
The Restorative Justice Coach will be responsible for guiding the implementation of restorative practices across all areas of the schools; as well as working in collaboration with teachers and administrators to foster full, effective implementation of restorative justice practices.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Teacher certification
- Bachelor's Degree, Master's preferred.
- Five years of teaching experience, other relevant or equivalent experience will be considered
- Completion of coursework or seminars in the area of Restorative Justice Practices (RJP)
- Demonstrated evidence of ability to lead adult professional work.
Required Skills and Experiences:
- Models and implements RJP interventions for students, including student circle groups
- Experienced in training and well versed in cultural competence with the ability to navigate through complex issues of racial, cultural, ethnic, and gender identities
- Strong commitment to equity, inclusion, diversity, and anti-racist pedagogy
- Works with closely with administrators, teachers, students, paraprofessionals, and parents around efforts to establish and implement school-wide RJP Action Plans
- Ability to coach and support teachers on the integration of RJP into their classrooms
- Designs, develops, and implements training, presentations, coaching, and technical assistance activities to support a whole-school approach to a restorative school climate
- Skilled in the use of technology to support effective communications, presentation, design, delivery, and data management (e.g., Microsoft Office and Google products)
- Strong people skills and an ability to win the respect and trust of fellow teachers
- Researches, produces resources, and keeps abreast with RJP trends/practices
- Facilitates restorative practice interventions, as needed, to respond to emerging issues.

- Knowledge of restorative practices and restorative justice of philosophy, principles, models, and techniques with a focus on violence-impacted communities of color
- Ability to engage and effectively serve BIPOC students impacted by community violence
- Ability to motivate, train, and coach school personnel and students to implement RJP
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with a variety of diverse students, parents, professionals, para-professionals, school staff and community groups
- Ability to produce timely, clear, and concise documentation
- Knowledge of adult learning theory and SEL competencies
