Software Engineer

At Reviva, we’re on a mission to empower wellness providers to thrive and focus on what they love: taking care of their clients. As the daughters of small business owners in the wellness space, we grew up observing the challenges of starting and scaling a business and the frustrations of feeling overlooked by existing software. We started Reviva to build technology for the backbone of the American economy: small businesses.

You would:

• Be an early member of the Reviva team with significant influence on the product and company
• Build cutting-edge software driven by AI
• Build multiple products in one - EHR, CRM, POS, scheduling, marketing, and AI all within one umbrella, purpose-built for the wellness industry
• Be excited about solving problems like:
• Handling high throughput consumer transactions
• Building systems resilient to outages to make patient health data accessible and reliable
• Integrating traditional SaaS workflows with AI applications
• Building backwards and forwards-proof data models to enable robust analytics
• Developing product from 0-1
• Refine generative AI and embedding retrieval techniques to be accurate in the context of a specialized industry
• Work on meaningful features to lower the barrier for small business owners' access to high-quality technology, and therefore improving the general population's access to high-quality wellness care

We are looking for someone with:

• 3 years of engineering experience
• Experience in building highly robust products with simple design
• Experience working with microservice architectures
• Experience in Typescript
• Passion for building products that empower small business owners or other similar populations that the technology industry has traditionally overlooked
• Loves giving and receiving feedback
• Aligns with our culture values
• Eagerness to learn and a track record of being self-driven
• Ability to work in person (hybrid) in San Francisco
• Bonus if any of the following applies:
• Exposure to building HIPAA-compliant products or other products with similar security needs
• Exposure to building point of sale (POS) systems
• AI background or experience building AI application products

We currently use NextJS, NodeJS, Typescript, Tailwind CSS, and AWS.

Why is joining Reviva right now so compelling?

Reviva has gathered a lot of momentum. Even though we have been working full-time on solving this problem only since January, we identified a critical pain point amongst cash-pay (operating outside of the insurance system) wellness SMB owners: a need for a vertical, all-in-one solution that addresses their needs around client acquisition and unlocks operational efficiencies across all their workflows. We have gotten nearly a 100% success rate in getting customers to sign up for our waitlist or to be a design partner with only high-fidelity mocks of a potential software web application solution.

GenAI advancements have also allowed us to build a software management solution that can increase usability even for late tech adopters. Valerie’s mom, who owns a solo-run integrative medicine clinic and specialty pharmacy, has never more quickly adopted ChatGPT. We are imagining a cutting-edge prompt-driven interface, that combines both structure and ad-hoc freedom to help users better leverage technology to run their business. Our ultimate vision is for Reviva to feel like the right-hand partner of a small business owner who 1) understands the business inside and out and 2) provides strategic guidance that uplevels the business. This means that we are in heads-down building mode, building the next generation of AI-native practice management solutions.

We are hiring now because we have recently secured a significant amount of capital from top-tier investors in an oversubscribed pre-seed round.
