TEMPORARY FACILITIES ASSOCIATE
REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 7:30 to 4:30 (some evening and weekend shifts) - estimated end date at 6 weeks from date of hire
POSITION SUMMARY: The Temporary Facilities Associate is responsible for assisting the Facilities Manager in providing proactive maintenance and responsive service for repairs and projects for all Revive facilities. This includes maintaining the buildings and grounds of the organization and performing repairs and replacements for the upkeep of equipment and supplies. Duties include completing daily, weekly, and monthly job task schedules as well as general janitorial duties.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Facilities Manager to complete all required maintenance, safety drills, upkeep, and audits.
- Complete weekly vehicle and facility safety checklists.
- Perform general housekeeping and janitorial services, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and cleaning of restroom (if applicable), and respond to urgent janitorial needs such as spills, plumbing overflows, clogged sinks, etc.
- Perform general facilities maintenance and repairs under guidance of the Facilities Manager.
- Make recommendations when maintenance task(s) need to be outsourced.
- Track any repair and maintenance invoices submitting documentation for approval to the Facilities Manager.
- Track work orders and turn in daily when completed with documentation.
- Perform consistent inventories of all facilities supplies and tools.
- Ensure all storage areas are clean and organized.
- Keep exterior of all Revive properties clean of trash, mowed, landscape clean.
- Adhere to all safety protocols as to tool use, lifting, chemical use etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
BACKGROUND/ EDUCATION:
- Must be able to read and follow basic instructions/directions and follow designated rules.
- Must be able to write at a level to which documentation can be completed.
- Current/valid driver’s license
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Ability to handle multiple demands.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stay calm.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity and ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, lift, reach overhead and carry.
- Willingness and flexibility to meet the changing requirements of the job.
- Knowledge of facility maintenance or janitorial experience preferred.

Physical Demands:

The employee may be required to exert 21 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 11 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Job duties also require about 6 or more hours of intermittent standing or walking in an 8-hour workday. Sitting may be required only intermittently and occasionally. Stooping is required frequently.
Environmental Conditions:
The employee will work indoors and outdoors, sometimes in hot and humid weather or very frigid temperatures, depending on the season. This may result in bodily discomfort. The house is open and well ventilated with central heating and air conditioning.
Mental Demands:
There are a number of daily deadlines associated with this position, which may cause significant levels of stress for some individuals. The position must deal with the clients and staff daily on a variety of issues.

- Minimum of 40 hours per week
- Must be able to work well with other staff and clients.
- Use appropriate language, behavior, and appearance and overall conduct with or in the presence of customers, vendors, and co-workers.
- Some travel required.
